Training
We will assess your training needs and design and deliver bespoke packages to suit your requirements. We also offer a range of accredited training courses, and our lead consultants are experienced NVQ & OCN assessors and verifiers.
Bespoke training
Our training programmes are designed and delivered in line with our core values. We always operate within a framework of clear learning outcomes, and we deliver the training within timeframes that are flexible as well as appropriate and relevant to each client.
We provide an initial evaluation as part of each training programme. We also offer follow-up sessions to support clients in measuring the impact of the training on the organisation’s work, and against the agreed outcomes.
A key strength of our programmes is that we always make sure the content is directly relevant to all participants, and that they can transfer their learning to make immediate improvements to their day-to-day practice. And because people learn best when they’re able to participate fully, we always create a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Some examples of the courses we’ve designed and delivered:
• Anti-Discriminatory Practice
• Organisational Culture and Change Management.
• Supervision and Appraisal.
• Team Building and Motivation
• Sexuality Awareness.
• Group Work
• Disability Awareness
• Assertiveness
• Communication skills
• Presentation skills
• Working with volunteers
• Evaluation Systems.
• Training the Trainer
• Multi-Agency Working.
• Service-User Involvement.
In addition to the above we have also delivered various programmes within the fields of community development, youth work, social inclusion and working with people seeking asylum.
Accredited training
We have experience of writing and delivering accredited courses through bodies such as the Open College Network (OCN), and through a more formally recognised higher educational route, at both undergraduate and masters level. The lead consultants are qualified NVQ Assessors (D32, 33, 34) and understand the processes of work-based learning and the role of workplace mentors.
