Fiona Factor
Fiona began her career as a youth worker initially in the voluntary sector and, for the past 15 years, has trained professionals who work with vulnerable people in their communities. She has been a staff development and training officer for a local authority and more recently held the post of course director of Youth and Community Studies at the University of Luton; in this role she was also responsible for the delivery of Connexions training across the region.
Fiona’s published work focuses on the needs of young people and the professionals who work with them – either through education, social work, or criminal justice. Her research has been disseminated widely and includes the consideration of comparative models of good practice across Europe.
Jude Kutner
Jude has spent the last 20 years working in a variety of settings and capacities within the voluntary, statutory and private sectors. Her roles have been diverse including heading a voluntary sector community organisation, working within local government as a training and development officer and working within the private sector providing strategic development and identifying new business opportunities. A common theme has been her work with organisations in meeting their business / service objectives as well as identifying staff development needs and delivering training. She has also worked in a consultative capacity, providing expertise in social inclusion, regeneration programmes and housing strategies. She has extensive experience of working with organisations who are delivering the government’s Supporting People programme.
Jude has lectured in anti-discriminatory practice for social-care courses within further education. She has research and analytical skills and had undertaken research projects for a variety of organisations.
