Consultancy
We are experienced in supporting organisations to develop their services, increase motivation and productivity to reach their full potential. We offer a diverse range of services, including:
Team development
Bringing together a new team, or trying to establish why an existing team is under performing can be a source of stress for both the team and its managers. We’ll work with you to help your team learn techniques and put in place strategies to enable them to work together respectfully, efficiently and creatively.
Training-needs Analysis
The first step in realising your training needs is to undertake an effective training-needs analysis. It’s also vital to determine which needs analysis is appropriate for your organisation, and why it needs to be done.
During our initial consultation we can help you answer these key questions. For instance, is your need for training in response to a specific business need or job requirement? Or is it to identify skills and knowledge gaps, or to meet new legislative, policy or procedural requirements? And will the investment in training be worth it – will it add value to your organisation?
We use a variety of tools and techniques to help you make this initial assessment:
• Direct observation.
• Questionnaires.
• Consultation with people in key positions, and/or with specific knowledge.
• Review of relevant policies, job descriptions and person specifications.
• One-to-one interviews.
• Focus groups.
• Reviewing relevant legislation and government guidelines.
Non-managerial supervision
We offer on-going supervision to individuals within their organisations – a service that is both supportive and practical.
Many of the people we supervise have a pivotal role in their organisation. For instance, they may be the director or co-ordinator of their organisation, where the relationship with the Management Committee, Board or other stakeholders is as crucial as the relationships with their staff and the quality of the organisation’s service delivery.
In every case we agree a supervision framework and draw up a contract outlining the aims of the agreement, the process and the timescale. We also agree how and when the supervision will be reviewed.
Project management
We can assist organisations at all stages of project planning and management. This can involve offering advice and assistance at the initial research phase, right through to implementation. We also have expertise in risk assessment and evaluation. We can design quality management systems to ensure that a project’s key performance indicators are measured and provide strategies to improve performance.
In addition, we can help with ad-hoc projects such as writing funding applications, time planning, staff recruitment processes and systems development, as well as designing and evaluating any tools for these processes.
Policy development
We work with a wide range of organisations across different sectors, so we’re well aware of the numerous pieces of legislation that apply to our client base. We also make it our business to keep abreast of the very latest developments in these areas. That means we’re always in a strong position when it comes to creating relevant, workable and supportive policies for both staff and service users.
Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment
The MBTI is a powerful and versatile indicator of personality type developed by Isabel Myers and Katharine C Briggs. It is a highly effective tool to help us classify the ways in which we view the world around us, deal with it and react to it.
Our qualified MBTI assessor can help you understand your organisation and the individuals within it by employing the most commonly used instrument for understanding personality differences. This approach is particularly flexible, and can be used for a variety of purposes such as developing individuals and teams, and planning and implementing organisational change.
Organisational Development
We are experienced in supporting organisations identifying new business opportunities and negotiating business contracts. We ensure that organisational structures and systems are in place in order to achieve the desired or intended goals
